If you find that the schedule above does not work for you or your family please talk to Sensei. He can make arrangements for you to attend a different class times that will work for your child or your family.

We would love to offer kids karate, kids martial arts, teen karate, teen martial arts, adult karate and adult martial arts 7 days a week. This would not be possible as everyone needs rest to recharge their batteries and spend quality time with family and friends and Sensei does not want to burn out. He really does love teaching children karate and treats every child like they are his own. He has a soft spot for children with disabilities since Sensei's family is an ambassador family for Sick Kids in Toronto. Sensei and his family have donated much of their personal time to helping Sick Kids raise money for necessary expansion and equipment. We get many inquiries as to if we offer March break camps, Christmas break camps, summer break camps. As of the writing of this page in August 2023 for this Phoenix Karate website, we currently do not offer any of these camps. We do anticipate that for March break of 2026 which is March 16 to 20, 2026 we will be offering a March break camp that is only available to current students, kids of Phoenix Karate. We are also planning to offer 3 weeks in the Summer as a Summer Kids Karate Camp for Phoenix Karate. The dates are still to be determined. If your child has karate classes on any days of the kids karate camp, they may just stay with us until their class ends, just please pack extra snacks and drinks for that day and let us know in advance.
There are no plans currently for a Christmas break camp as well as there are not plans for an afterschool pick up program. This would require us to change our designation from a Karate School business to a child care facility which has many sets of rules and would require a lot more resources. Different insurance would be required and that would have a direct impact and increase our costs and directly increase our memberships to absorbs those costs.
Also everyone knows that Sensei Tony Tasillo works a full time job at the City of Mississauga as a bus mechanic during the day. He is also the Maintenance Executive Board Member with the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1572. He is a Collision Review member in the maintenance department, a Certified Joint Health and Safety Representative, First Aid Certified, holds a 310T and 310A Mechanics license and is an ASE World Class Technician. So you can see that this would be very difficult for him to do with his full time job and all the responsibilities he has.
